Jack Madison Memorial Open Benefitting Buddy Up for Life
Join us for a fun day of pickleball, food and friends to celebrate the life of Jack Madison. Proceeds will benefit Buddy Up for Life, the non-profit Jack loved, which is dedicated to helping build fitness and life skills for those individuals living with Down Syndrome.
Tournament format is double-elimination and play will begin at 9am at Pickle & Chill at 880 West Henderson Road in Columbus. Divisions include:
3.0 and below
3.0-3.5
3.5-4.0
4.0 and above
All rounds are COED (any configuration of gender). Matches will be played on our 12 inside and 10 outdoor courts.
Following the tournament, a social event will begin at 11am with music spun by Matt Ryan Mobile DJ Entertainment and delicious eats from Gordon’s Gourmet Food Truck. Tournament ticket price includes the social event. If you would like to attend the social event only - please visit www.buddyupforlife.com to register.
About Jack
A native of Bexley and graduate of Columbus Academy, Jack was a competitive tennis player and lover of pickleball who passed away unexpectedly at the age of 20 in January 2023. Through the Jack Madison Memorial Open, we honor his memory and continue his legacy of service, kindness, and generosity. Join us as we keep Jack's memory alive and make a difference in the lives of others through the power of sport and community.
Summer Solstice Tournament
Welcome to Pickle and Chills Summer Solstice Round Robin!
All brackets will consist of a Round Robin Format.
All matches will be reported to DUPR, and DUPR ratings will be checked prior to the event start date. All participants are required to have or create a DUPR rating profile.
Friday Mixed Split Age Bracket will not begin until 530pm. One player must be over 50 years old, one player must be under 50. It does not matter which gender is over or under 50.
Major League Pickleball Columbus
Columbus, OH – December 22, 2025– Pickle & Chill is thrilled to announce that Major League Pickleball (MLP presented by DoorDash) will return to Columbus for the second consecutive year, hosting Regular Season Event #2 from Thursday, May 28, through Sunday, May 31, 2026. This exciting stop on the MLP calendar will bring world-class professional pickleball action to Central Ohio, featuring the league’s top athletes and electrifying team-based competition.
The Columbus event is part of MLP’s expanded 2026 season, which includes nine regular-season events in team markets, a mid-season tournament, and an extended playoff series. Fans attending at Pickle & Chill will experience the unique coed team format that has made MLP the fastest-growing professional pickleball league in the world.
Tickets for the Columbus event are available now via Tixr. Fans are encouraged to secure their seats early for this premier pickleball experience.
In addition to professional play, the Columbus event will feature Minor League Pickleball (MiLP) activations, giving amateur players the chance to compete and connect with the sport’s biggest stars. More details on MiLP and Jr. MLP programming will be announced soon.

Founded by Thiago — a Brazilian immigrant who built something delicious from scratch — Okara is all about food that fuels real life. Honest ingredients, bold flavor, and a story worth knowing.
